Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of blockchain in the transparency and efficiency of economic transactions in the context of the digitalization of the financial system. Blockchain is seen as a technology capable of addressing the limitations of traditional transaction systems, which often face high costs, slow processing times, and low data visibility. Using quantitative research methods, data was collected through an online questionnaire distributed to 150 respondents consisting of digital economy players, financial institutions, and companies that have implemented blockchain. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression with the assistance of statistical software to test the effect of blockchain on transparency and efficiency variables. The results show that blockchain has a positive and significant effect on transparency and efficiency, both partially and simultaneously. A t-test demonstrated a significant partial effect, while an F-test demonstrated a significant simultaneous effect on both dependent variables. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.520 indicates that 52 percent of the variation in transparency and efficiency can be explained by blockchain implementation, while the remaining 48 percent is influenced by factors outside the research model. These findings support the theory that blockchain can improve transaction traceability, strengthen auditability, and accelerate transaction settlement processes at a lower cost. In conclusion, blockchain plays a fundamental role in building a more open, faster, and more efficient transaction system. However, optimizing blockchain's benefits still requires adequate regulatory support, technological infrastructure readiness, and increased digital literacy among economic actors.
